SUBDIVISION SPOTLIGHT on Lands End, considered by many as one of the a most exclusive and premier subdivisions in the Town of Emerald.  Located at the western end of town off Coast Guard Road, Lands End features about 400 homes and home sites.  Development in this neighborhood started in 1982 and was built out more or less by 2007. A number of undeveloped lots remain. The average square footage of homes here is about 2,500 sq. f.t and most homes have two car garages. Some homes are quite large, topping at at nearly 5,000 sq.ft. and others are much smaller, in the range of 1,000 sq. ft. Vale of homes and home sites is commensurate with size and proximity to the Atlantic Ocean and range from a high of $3.6M to a low about $200,000 and and average selling price of $733,764. Homes rarely are for sell in this highly sought after gated neighborhood as most homes are primary and not vacation or secondary homes.



For the discriminating buyer, Lands End home ownership options range from premium oceanfront locations to well sited interior homes nestled in the Maritime Forest, many with water views.  This gated community offers many amenities such as outdoor pool (open seasonally,) tennis courts, private beach access and club house (available for personal parties and events.) The Home Owners Association hosts card games, crafts and other events at the club for owners throughout the year, but mainly in the off season. 

A family-oriented community with many year-round residents, Lands End offers miles of paved roads for walking or navigating about on a golf cart.  Located in the highly desirable western half of Emerald Isle, the community abuts the 11 mile Emerald Isle Bike Path and is only a few minutes away from restaurants, wine and beer establishments and the popular Emerald Plantation.
